Until
now the training options for owners of aggressive dogs were discouraging. Many
trainers still advise owners to shock the bite out of them with electronic collars, or to choke them with prong collars or
choke chains until they give up or quite literally pass out. It’s not much
of a surprise that this frequently makes aggressive behavior worse. Others recommend
slow, uncertain distraction programs. According to the current popular literature
on “positive” treatments for dog aggression these procedures may take years to produce modest results. That’s just too long for a family to live with a canine time
bomb.
New research
conducted at the University of North Texas by Jesus Rosales-Ruiz,
Ph.D. and Kellie Snider demonstrates that there is more that can be done about canine aggression. In as little as an hour we can lay the foundation on which to build a whole new life for an aggressive
dog. In sometimes as few as 3 sessions, we can turn an aggressive dog into a
friendly dog.
We will show
you the dramatic shift in a dog’s demeanor as his preference changes from driving others away to befriending them.
In addition we will give you new ways to think about aggressive behavior.
Aggression is behavior. It’s not an identity.
This isn’t
isolated laboratory research. It proves what you can do where it matters most. In your living room. In the park. On
the sidewalk. In the real world.
